Dr. Jay J. Jensen, D.D.S. grew up in Polk City, Iowa & graduated from North Polk High School in 1987. He then attended the University of Iowa on an Army ROTC Scholarship, and received his undergraduate degree in General Studies in 1991. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, and went on to fulfill his Army ROTC obligation by practicing dentistry for the United States Army at Fort Hood, Texas for four years (1995-1999). In 1999, Dr. Jensen moved back home, and became an associate doctor, working for his childhood dentist, Dr. Richard A. Jenkins, D.D.S. In June of 2001, Dr. Jensen purchased the practice from Dr. Jenkins and re-named the practice Restoration Dental to be congruent with his vision. In 2006, he moved the dental practice to West Des Moines.
Dr. Jensen has been trained at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), and has studied under world-renowned clinician, Dr. Bill Dickerson. LVI has not only changed Dr. Jensen's practice, but it has completely changed his life!
Dr. Jensen is also a huge proponent of personal growth and development as well as professional growth and development. Dr. Jensen has been through several courses in the James Ray Journey of Power curriculum. James Ray is one of the teachers in The Secret. This journey has definitely changed Dr. Jensen’s life, and has taken him further down a path of self-empowerment!
Dr. Jensen thoroughly enjoys high school, collegiate, and international wrestling. He is also a huge fan of mixed martial arts (Ultimate Fighting Championships or UFC). He also loves to shop, work out, go to concerts, entertain guests, travel, and visit friends. Dr. Jensen also lectures internationally on various topics in dentistry…he also gives motivational/inspirational lectures to various groups and organizations.
Dr. Jensen is married to his wife, Dina, and they have two beautiful, amazing daughters and two Beagles.
Dr. Jensen is very passionate about dentistry & life, and has a very positive attitude and outlook on both! Dr. Jensen truly loves working with his incredible, awesome team and most importantly, changing the lives of his patients and those who attend his seminars.
